Description The Cub at Rolling Hills is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Seasonal Assistant Swim Team Coach to support our summer swim. This role assists the Head Coach in instructing swimmers, supporting practices and meets, and helping create a positive, safe, and team-focused environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working with youth athletes, communicates effectively with families, and helps reinforce strong sportsmanship and skill development. Responsibilities: Assist with instructing swimmers in proper stroke techniques, competition skills, and training strategies. Support the Head Coach during swim practices, warm-ups, and team activities. Help monitor swimmer safety and enforce pool and team rules during practices and meets. Provide encouragement, motivation, and constructive feedback to athletes. Assist with swim meet preparation including setup, organization of events, and teardown. Help track race participation, results, and ribbon distribution during meets. Communicate effectively with swimmers, parents, and aquatics staff as directed by the Head Coach. Support coordination of meet logistics, volunteer roles, and team activities. Maintain and organize swim team equipment and supplies. Promote positive team culture, sportsmanship, and adherence to the Club’s Code of Conduct. Attend team practices, meets, and required staff meetings. Assist with team events, recognition activities, and end-of-season celebrations. Perform other duties as assigned by aquatics leadership. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous competitive swimming or coaching experience preferred. CPR and AED certifications required. First Aid certification required. Water Safety Instructor certification preferred. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively with youth in a team environment.
Responsibilities
