AIPSO is a management organization and service provider for various insurance industry groups responsible for administering the residual market. We are a national organization that serves local customer needs. Centralization and standardization are key to many AIPSO services because of the inherent economies of scale and other efficiencies. However, our organization is based on customer focus and recognizes the need for flexibility in serving customer groups with diverse interests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Enhance, Maintain, and troubleshoot business applications, including application endpoints/APIs, and databases.
  • Use SQL Skills to analyze application data, propose and script solutions required to rectify data-related issues.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to establish project scope, system goals, and technical requirements.
  • Consult with customer to identify current operating procedures and clarify business objectives.
  • Work closely with business counterparts to identify optimal IT solutions in business functional areas.
  • Break down Business Requirements (what) and scope into manageable work items (how) for Developers to work from.
  • Analyze, prioritize, and organize requirement specifications and User Stories.
  • Define and coordinate the ability to test system development work to ensure functional correctness while meeting business customer’s needs.
  • Monitor systems health, gather system statistics, and troubleshoot reported errors and alarms (Active Batch).
  • Help businesses implement technology solutions in a cost-effective way, i.e. within the system’s design and capabilities.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in computer science or information technology preferred. Additional appropriate experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

EXPERIENCE:

3 or more years related experience with several of the following development tools and/or platforms: .NET, N-Tier Architecture (web and desktop), with a stronger foundation in SQL Server Queries, Data Inserts, and updates. Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts, relational databases and server environments along with a general understanding of front and back-office technology. Understanding of T-SQL and automobile insurance policy processing a plus.

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft 365) to manage personal work.
  • Effective and creative problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze complex issues, find the root cause of the problem, and consider a wide range of alternatives before acting.
  • Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, to facilitate effective collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to make recommendations for practical solutions to problems within constraints of the business.
  • Ability to multi-task and demonstrate flexibility while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and interact professionally and effectively in a team environment.

Salary Range: $51,200 - $81,800/$61,200 - $97,800 Annual:. Actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; internal equity and other conditions of employment.
