We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Tax Manager based in the Philippines to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a tax professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering accurate and strategic tax solutions to clients. The Assistant Tax Manager will support the Tax Manager and broader team in preparing, reviewing, and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance, and providing expert tax advice.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or equivalent certification is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in US tax preparation and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. tax laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in tax software (e.g., ProConnect, UltraTax, or similar).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Experience working with U.S. based clients.

Responsibilities
  • Tax Preparation & Review: Assist in the preparation and review of individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
  • Compliance: Ensure all tax filings comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Client Communication: Liaise with clients to gather necessary documentation and provide updates on tax matters.
  • Research & Advisory: Conduct tax research and provide recommendations on complex tax issues.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Tax Manager and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline tax processes and improve efficiency.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of tax filings, correspondence, and client data.
  • Training & Support: Mentor junior tax staff and assist in onboarding new team members.
