Description
Description Are you a patient, nurturing educator who finds joy in the "lightbulb moments" of early childhood? We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Pre-Primary Teacher to join our Montessori community. This specific classroom is a vibrant environment for children aged 2.5 to 4 years. A core focus of this role is supporting our students through the potty training transition, helping them move from diapers to independence with dignity and confidence. If you believe that every child deserves a peaceful, respectful, and organized start to their education, we’d love to meet you. Requirements Key Responsibilities The Prepared Environment: Assist the Lead Teacher in maintaining a beautiful, orderly Montessori classroom. Ensure materials are complete, clean, and accessible. Independence & Potty Training: Provide gentle, consistent support for children during the toilet learning process. This includes managing bathroom schedules, assisting with clothing changes, and maintaining a hygienic environment. Observation & Support: Observe student behavior and progress, stepping in to redirect or assist only when necessary to preserve the child's concentration. Grace and Courtesy: Model polite, respectful social interactions (Grace and Courtesy) to help children develop emotional intelligence and community spirit. Safety & Supervision: Maintain a safe, supervised environment both in the classroom and on the playground. Hours: 8:30 AM- 6:00 PM What We’re Looking For The "Montessori Heart": A deep respect for the child’s autonomy and a calm, patient demeanor—especially during the challenges of potty training. Experience: Previous experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children (2–4 years) is highly preferred. Education: High School Diploma Physical Stamina: Ability to frequent squat, kneel, and sit on the floor to meet children at their eye level. Communication: Strong verbal skills to collaborate with the Lead Teacher and provide warm updates to parents.
