ASSISTANT INFANT TEACHER Hometown Health Center Childcare Program Hometown Health Center is seeking a caring and dependable Assistant Infant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants. This role works collaboratively with the Lead Teacher to meet the daily care needs of infants while maintaining a calm, professional classroom environment. Key Responsibilities: * Assist with implementing age-appropriate curriculum and daily routines for infants * Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment * Anticipate and respond to infants’ individual needs with care and attentiveness * Communicate clearly and professionally with the Lead Teacher * Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members * Ensure compliance with licensing, health, and safety regulations * Participate in required trainings, meetings, and DHHS requirements Qualifications: * Must be at least 18 years old * High school diploma or equivalent required (or currently enrolled) * CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain * Must pass DHHS background checks * Registered with Maine Roads to Quality or willing to become registered Preferred: * Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field Join a compassionate and supportive childcare team dedicated to providing high-quality infant care in a respectful, family-centered environment.
