The standard shift for this position is 12:00 PM–6:30 PM. Our location is easily accessible via the PATH and Light Rail. Job Responsibilities: Assist in planning and implementing activities that support the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of students Help develop culturally responsive and developmentally appropriate programs and activities Establish consistent routines and procedures for daily learning and play experiences Supervise students in the classroom to ensure safety and engagement Collaborate with the Head Teacher to create routines and provide positive behavioral guidance Communicate clearly and effectively in a way that children can understand Communicate with parents as needed regarding student behavior—both positive and negative—with Head Teacher approval Collaborate regularly with the Head Teacher to prepare weekly plans and activities Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Head Teacher or Director Qualifications High school diploma required; associate degree in education or related field, or a CDA, preferred Minimum of 2 years of experience in a child care setting Ability to relate positively to young children, parents, and staff Willingness to work flexible hours to meet program needs Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical activities such as walking, squatting/kneeling, sitting on the floor, and interacting with children to ensure their health and safety Technologically literate, with the ability to use, manage, understand, and assess technology Must be willing to work flexible hours What We Offer at The Brunswick School: Annual paid time off based on part-time accrual (PTO) Holiday pay in accordance with approved part-time schedule Employee Assistance Program Referral Bonus Program Continued professional development opportunities Schedule: Part-time
