Description:
The Department of Communication and Visual Arts at Thompson Rivers University invite applications for a bipartite (teaching/service) one-year limited-term contract position in the area of Journalism.
The successful candidate must have the versatility to teach a variety of undergraduate courses in Journalism, including JOUR 2060, Introduction to Multimedia; JOUR2200 Introduction to Reporting Techniques; JOUR 3030 News Writing; JOUR 3160 Online Journalism; JOUR 3180 Documentary Storytelling; JOUR 4110 Special Topics; JOUR 4270 Investigative Journalism.
This position is subject to budgetary approval. The appointment is scheduled to commence on September 5 , 2024.
QUALIFICATIONS
A master’s degree in Journalism, or equivalent. Consideration of candidates with terminal degree in related area and significant professional experience and publication will be given.
