    Job Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Assistant Teaching Professor is a full-time, 10-month, non-tenure-track position. Primary teaching responsibilities will be in the First-Year Writing Program with opportunities to teach in the Public and Professional Writing major/minor as appropriate. Teaching load is 4/4. Additionally, teaching faculty have a service requirement to be fulfilled within the department, college, and/or university. Writing Studies faculty are a diverse group of writers, educators, professionals, and artists who are committed to the teaching of writing and critical thinking to the students of Montclair State University. The Writing Studies Department fosters the diversity of students’ interests across disciplines as well as the interdisciplinary nature of the field itself.

Position is a two-year, ten-month, non-tenure track appointment, with eligibility for reappointment based on established NTTP procedures.
