POSI TIO N : Assistant Technical Manager
REPORT S TO : Technical Manager
Located in Park Royal, London, Dina Foods comprises of three separate manufacturing sites which produces bakery items (bread), confectionery and savoury. All sites are BRC certified to the highest level (AA+), with the confectionery factory also IFS Higher level.
Assistant Technical Manager is one of the key positions in the Dina Foods organization which has the responsibility to ensure that all the products manufactured and supplied by the company are formulated, processed, packaged, and delivered to the final customer within, and in compliance with, the highest standards of quality set by the customer, industry norms, regulatory authorities, and overall best manufacturing/supply practices.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Monitor quality systems and ways of working across the site
  • Continually strive for product excellence
  • Manage upwards; managing the technical agenda at senior levels
  • Educated to Degree level (or equivalent) in Food Science or Technology
  • Trained to Higher standard in Food Hygiene and HACCP
  • Knowledge of practical statistics for process control and analysis purpose
  • Internal Auditor training
  • Retailer specification and data base handling experience
  • Computer literate – Power point, excel

    Pay: £32,000.00-£40,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

The main role is the maintenance, development/ improvement and implementation of all sections of the Quality Assurance, Quality
Management, and HACCP systems to produce safe, legal and authentic products to the specified quality and to ensure that the company retains its

BRC Higher Level accreditation every year.

  • Thorough inspections and audits to ensure adherence to food safety standards.
  • Collaborat ion with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
  • To maintain or have maintained all records as requested by HACCP &
  • CCPs.
  • Maintain good hygiene standards in all factories .
  • CCP verif icat ion and Val idation
  • Manage Micro schedule
  • Mange site taste panel
  • To maintain the traceabil ity system any product produced by Dina
  • Foods.
  • Manage A la Calc Recipe Analysis and Nutr it ion Fact Label l ing .
  • To create, update and maintain the specs including retai lers.
  • To carry out the internal audits PRP / GMP /SOP audits, communicate results with site team.
  • To participate in the HACCP, TACCP and VACCP team and delegate as necessary.
  • To assist the technical manager for third party & external audits
