Job Description Join our team as a full-time Assistant Technician (CMT Lab) in Malaga and kick-start your career in construction materials testing. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in accuracy, and is looking for long-term career growth in a supportive laboratory environment. You’ll be involved in testing construction materials using both destructive and non-destructive methods, while also gaining exposure to chemical testing, sample preparation, and quality-focused lab processes. What you’ll be doing: Assist with preparing, collecting, and organising samples for testing Carry out routine laboratory testing and support equipment calibration under guidance Help maintain laboratory equipment and keep work areas clean, safe, and well organised Record and correlate test data accurately and assist with preparing basic reports Work closely with the team to support efficient day-to-day lab operations Contribute ideas for continuous improvement and take part in a positive team culture Support other laboratory duties as required Qualifications To be successful in this role, you’ll bring: Certificate III in Laboratory Techniques or any relevant qualification Previous laboratory experience WA C Class Driver’s Licence Strong attention to detail and a commitment to following safe work practices A positive, reliable, and team-focused approach This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team where you can learn on the job, build practical technical skills, and grow into a long-term career in the construction materials testing industry.
