Assistant Tenant Participation Officer   Vacancies available at multiple locations! Full-Time Ongoing Roles Clerk Grade 5/6 - $99,938 - $110,271 plus superannuation and leave loading   Your role   Supporting our tenant engagement and community development initiatives, this role will be offered across several key districts such as: Blacktown Hunter Region (with frequent travel to Central Coast) Penrith Sydney (including Inner West, Southwest and Surry Hills) Wagga Wagga   What you’ll do   Being a part of a dynamic team, this role will coordinate the development and delivery of tenant engagement initiatives to support and enhance community wellbeing. The responsibilities of this role will include, but will not be limited to: Coordinating and assisting in the development of community-based projects and activities to facilitate increased participation of residents in community capacity building and neighbourhood activities Managing key relationships and partnerships to strengthen communication, improve service access, and promote sustainable tenancies across Homes NSW communities Contributing to tenant and community involvement and empowerment planning to improve Homes NSW performance in selected housing management activities Organising and contributing to community meetings and workshops Networking with external stakeholders including Council, Education, Police & Indigenous agencies, residents and resident groups Developing and implementing a range of tenant feedback systems, ongoing consultative/advisory arrangements and mechanisms with individual social housing residents, families, organisations (government and non-government) and the local community   What we’re looking for   To be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will have: Relevant qualifications as well as 2-3 years’ experience in tenant participation, community development, or community services Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Ability to work under tight deadlines with competing priorities Ability to work in adherence to legislation and governing compliance requirements Familiarity with working with people of diverse backgrounds and life experiences An empathetic and results driven nature   For more information about this role, please click here to download the role description.   If you are viewing this ad in Seek and wish to apply via their portal, you will be required to either set up a profile or login via your existing Seek account.   To apply directly via the DCJ Careers site click here.
