REQUIREMENTS

• Basic knowledge of Indian cooking methods and ingredients.
• Skills in cutting, chopping, and food preparation.
• Keen eye for presentation and plating.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under the guidance of senior chefs.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Punctual, reliable, and eager to learn.
• Previous experience in a kitchen is an advantage but not essential.

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Junior Assistant Chef, you will play a key supporting role in the kitchen. You’ll assist senior chefs with food preparation, cutting, cooking, and plating, while learning valuable skills in Indian cuisine. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has basic knowledge of Indian cooking and is eager to grow in a professional kitchen environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist senior chefs in preparing Indian dishes according to restaurant standards.
• Perform basic cooking tasks such as chopping, cutting, marinating, and seasoning.
• Support with plating and presentation of dishes to ensure consistency.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and workstations.
• Follow food hygiene, health, and safety regulations at all times.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and organising kitchen supplies.
• Work as part of a team to ensure smooth daily kitchen operations.
