OFFICE OF COUNCIL AND COURT SECRETARIAT AND LEGAL Assistant to Director (25260660) The Office of Council and Court Secretariat and Legal (CCSL), with a fast-paced work environment, is looking for a dynamic team player to join its small vibrant team in the post of Assistant to Director. Responsibilities: * Provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Director of CCSL, coordinate schedules and meetings, prepare reports and correspondence and handle confidential matters with discretion; * Provide professional administrative support to senior management committees and the Council and Court (including various Council committees and task forces) and University-wide projects; * Liaise with internal units, affiliated institutions and external bodies such as the Government of the HKSAR, LegCo, statutory bodies and other stakeholders;  * Coordinate data research, maintain databases and perform other administrative duties; * Coordinate University-wide events; and  * Perform other duties as assigned.  Requirements: * A bachelor’s degree with at least five years of relevant work experience; * Strong communication, time management and problem-solving skills with attentiveness to details are essential; * A self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently and under pressure to meet tight schedules; * An excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, and Putonghua; and * High proficiency in computer application skills including MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).   Shortlisted candidates are required to sit for a written test. The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
