Description

We are looking for an Assistant to Line Manager, a key partner in managing the line’s performances according to the line manager guidance. Provide analysis in order to maximize line profit. Major areas of responsibility Daily work with the line Involved in the operational activity of the line Participate in the line meetings with trades and countries Assist Line Manager in dealing with all relevant countries to set goals and targets and to promote business in these areas Works in conjunction with Sales, Countries, Trade Manager to implement and measure business plan Ongoing monitoring of performance and implementation of action between the line, the trade and the countries Generate periodical follow up reports Reports Monitor actual performance vs. budget reports Weekly forecasts, monitoring performance, quantities analysis, profit analysis – suggest action items and corrective measures for the gaps. Customers mix and portfolio monthly analysis P&L reports Projects management Provide ideas for performance improvement with data analysis and prepare conclusions Assist in analyzing line changes Manage ad hoc line’s projects Provide analysis for new commercial activities proposals Requirements An academic degree in Economics/ Industrial Engineering and Management/ Business Management or similar Experience in analyst position – 2 years or more Excellent Command of English High skills in Office software – Excellent in Excel and Power Point. Familiarity with internal software such as –ZIMBI, IQ SHIP, SAP Knowledge of core shipping activities

Responsibilities

The Assistant to Line Manager will work closely with the line manager to manage line performance and maximize profit. Responsibilities include operational activities, performance monitoring, generating reports, and assisting in project management.
