POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant to the Athletic Director supports the Parish and School Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) Athletic Program through administrative and organizational assistance. This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of the athletic program by maintaining accurate schedules, managing records, supporting communication, and coordinating logistics. The Assistant works closely with the Athletic Director, coaches, volunteers, and families to provide a well-organized, faith-centered experience for student-athletes in grades 3–8.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma required; some college or relevant coursework preferred.
  • Prior administrative or scheduling experience, especially in athletics or education, is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and scheduling software.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • A practicing Catholic is preferred or someone supportive of Catholic teachings and mission.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Office-based with occasional after-hours or weekend responsibilities during athletic seasons.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, and lift light equipment (up to 35 lbs) as needed.
