Description

As the Assistant to the Chair, you will be responsible for providing executive-level administrative support to the Chair of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. This includes a wide range of high-level administrative duties, including executive scheduling, planning travel, submitting financial reimbursements, filing and retrieval, designing and maintaining database, composing executive correspondence, meeting logistics and preparation, and clerical functions. Primary duties include:

  • Manage a high volume of scheduling for meetings, conferences, and events.
  • Draft and prepare executive correspondence; record data and generate reports.
  • Provide logistical support for large-scale events, both virtual and in person.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and process expense reimbursements.

Salary Range: $37.34/hour - $56.82/hour

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Skilled in managing complex calendars and schedules, including travel, housing, catering, meetings, and conferences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional customer service and professional phone etiquette.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Resourceful and able to troubleshoot issues independently.
  • Discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Familiarity with pathology terminology highly preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED or HiSET) required.
