QUALIFICATIONS PROFILE:

  • Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:


    • High School diploma or equivalent

    • Successful prior experience working in a business or HR related field
    • Ability to speak and write in both English and Spanish preferred.
    • Bachelors degree in education, business, human resources, or related field preferred.

    Responsibilities

    Under the general supervision of the Director of Human Resources, to provide clerical support to the Human Resources by maintaining classified employee records, collaborating with the district’s business office to ensure the accuracy of employee pay rate and benefits information, ensuring compliance with district policies and procedures, communicating with classified staff members, and arranging substitute teacher and paraprofessional coverage on a daily basis.

    • Provides clerical support to the Director of Human Resources on issues related to the personnel of the district.
    • Organizes and maintains employee records including application materials, personnel changes, substitute teachers, evaluations, background check documents and personnel transactions.
    • Records classified employee information using the district’s e-Finance program.
    • Processes and completes personnel action forms for new, current, or former employees.
    • Communicates with departments, staff members, community members, and applicants to provide information and assistance regarding employment, district policies and procedures, and personnel records.
    • Maintains confidentiality involving all issues related to employee records.
    • Ensures the accuracy of personnel records for classified employees.
    • Works collaboratively with the district’s business office to ensure accuracy of all salary and benefits information related to certified staff members.
    • Arranges the placement of substitute teachers and paraprofessionals via the Frontline Application.
    • Arranges pre-employment medical examinations for prospective employees
    • Supervises the placement of substitute paraprofessionals
    • Montiors the work history of substitute and classified staff
    • Conducts initial interviews for classifed staff.
    • Assists with the onboarding and orientation process for all classified staff members.
    • Responds to routine requests for information from members of the district’s administrative team.
    • Processes documents, data, and materials for the purpose of disseminating information to appropriate district personnel.
    • Establishes, maintains, and fosters a positive and harmonious working relationship with those contacted in the course of work.
    • Maintains a regular and predictable attendance history while employed by the district.
    • Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Superintendent or the Executive Director of Human Resources.
    • Notarizes various employment forms.
