Position Detail Status: Regular, full-time Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:15am-5:15pm Pay range $14.50-$19.50/hour depending on education and experience Location: Onsite, Clarkston, MI Teaching is the most important work As an Assistant Toddler Teacher, you will collaborate with and support the Lead Toddler Teacher to create a safe, nurturing and interactive environment that fosters age-appropriate learning using the High Scope curriculum. Ensures overall safety of children Develop and implement daily lesson plans based on individual student’s needs and interests Implement High Scope curriculum, philosophy, and assessment tools Comply with licensing rules, regulations, and procedures Attend company/school meetings Ensure the classroom is engaging and developmentally age appropriate Ensure cleaning tasks are completed Physically able to lift 15 pounds Must be 18 years of age or older Prior experience as a Private Nanny or with Toddlers in the classroom setting (highly desirable) Reliable transportation Consent to Background screening including fingerprinting Prior experience with High Scope Curriculum a plus Possess a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or working toward a degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred) Paid professional development Childcare tuition discount (TriShare center/employer) Medical, dental, vision insurance (choice of plans) Aflac Supplemental Insurance Paid time off 401K with company match Paid Planning Time Referral bonuses Annual performance reviews and increases Free breakfast, lunch, and snacks Birthday benefits
Responsibilities
The Assistant Toddler Teacher will collaborate with and support the Lead Teacher to establish a secure, supportive, and interactive setting that promotes age-appropriate learning utilizing the High Scope curriculum. Responsibilities include ensuring child safety, developing and executing daily lesson plans based on individual student needs, and implementing the High Scope curriculum and assessment tools.
