As a full time, Assistant Trailer Planner, you have the aim to follow up transport assignments, taking quality standards of the organization and specific demands of the customer into account.
The office of EWALS LOGISTICS CONTROL in Timisoara has been developed into a control tower for group. As a control tower it has a central position within our company. With our young team of enthusiastic colleagues we are running 24 hours, 7 days a week following and planning over 400 trucks by using an innovative transport management system.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for an organized person with a strong motivation to work in transports.
You need to be fluent in English, to have hands on mentality, and to be a solution-oriented and a problem solver kind of employee.

Responsibilities

The assistant trailer planner performs a wide range of administrative tasks and is support for the trailer planner:

  • Checks daily shipments in a pro-active way (uses the internal applications to check/update order status);
  • Provides transport/performance for the internal/external fleet by allocating transport to customers already contracted or by participating in the international transport exchange;
  • Checks and approves the administrative requests (costs for waiting on client, costs for non-performance, etc.);
  • Follows up and is always up to date with the driver’s route;
  • Reports and deals with operational problems occurring on the route in a timely manner, according to procedures (delays, technical problems, trailer change, etc);
  • Takes action and proposes solutions to avoid operational problems (delays, line stops, etc.);
  • Respects the procedures or procedure changes sent by direct supervisor or manager;
  • Respects NCR procedures (creates, updates, checks, closes, based on NCR process flow);
  • Gives correct, complete and necessary information towards the colleagues at each shift change;
  • Respects the internal procedures and the law;
  • Creates and maintains a professional relationship with the colleagues (respects the procedures, don’t create conflicts);
  • Updates in due time all necessary information in all applications that he works with;
  • Answers accurately in due time to all requests that are related to transport activity.

Summarizing, the challenge of this role involves interaction with drivers, dispatchers and transport companies in different countries within Europe, being multitasking and accurate in verifying, informing and providing proper solutions to operational matters.
