REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma with 2-3 years general insurance experience, preferably in A&H (Personal accident, employee benefits) underwriting.
  • BCP and PGI certifications essential.
  • Professional qualification such as ACII or Diploma in GI (SII) is a plus.
  • Highly proficient in verbal and written communications in English.
  • Organised, meticulous and able to manage own time and work efficiently. Keen attention to details and able to produce quality and accurate work consistently.
  • A team player with strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • An effective negotiator with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Independent, resourceful and tenacious self-starter with a drive for self-improvement and progression
Responsibilities

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for underwriting of A&H Corporate (Group Personal Accident, Group Business Travel and Group Secondment) products
  • Ensure all business is underwritten within established guidelines and authority
  • Work with internal business teams and manage product development process
  • Support portfolio management of A&H Corporate
  • Liaise with servicers and account managers of producers (brokers, FAs and agents) to work on new business and renewals. Attend to questions on policy benefits, policy wordings, claims procedures and statuses etc.
  • Maintain close and good relationship with producers (brokers, FAs and agents).
  • Actively participate in events held for or by the producers (brokers, FAs and agents).
  • Conduct product training for producers (brokers, FAs and agents) when required.
  • Manage ad-hoc projects/testing as and when assigned.
