Duties & Responsibilities:
Requirements:
Expertise:
Developing professional, managing their own work and continuing to learn the business. Typically requires college degree or equivalent and 1-3 years’ experience. Rotational experience in a variety of disciplines is desirable: claims, actuary, operations, distribution management, etc.
Relationship Management:
Most interactions are internal to AXIS at this level. May respond to questions from brokers/clients and attend meetings in conjunction with other senior AXIS underwriters.
Complexity/Strategic Impact:
Can execute many standard analyses independently, particularly for renewing business. Provides underwriting thought process and recommendations along with analysis to a supervisor or more senior underwriter. Work is tactical in nature. Time horizon for planning is week to week.
Autonomy/Authority:
Support and guidance is available as needed to help resolve problems and provide ongoing development and advice. Not expected to have a significant impact on new business.
Financial Impact:
May have a small personal target, though generally supports the team’s financial success.
