We have an opportunity for an Assistant Underwriter to join our great team on a hybrid basis.
Your Role
This role involves working with selected brokers to optimise profitable growth. You will apply a range of underwriting, relationship management and business development techniques to help achieve this growth. This applies to new and/or existing cases within our agreed process and defined underwriting appetite.
You will spend most of your time working with your selected brokers, identifying, discussing, negotiating and converting new and existing business opportunities and making effective underwriting decisions. Within this role you will underwrite eTrade Property, Packages and Motor business.
About You
To be successful in your role of Assistant Underwriter you will ideally have some insurance experience within underwriting, claims or broking. This experience can be either personal or commercial insurance. We will also consider candidates with a solid customer service background, possibly within a Call Centre or retail environment.
You will be able to build working relationships with insurance brokers and write profitable business to ensure growth of the account.
