THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to play a pivotal role in the delivery of UXO projects. Working closely with senior project leaders, you will help shape and execute complex remediation projects—ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support project planning, proposal development, and contract delivery in line with client requirements
  • Assist with coordination and supervision of UXO field operations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Monitor budgets, support financial reporting, and help keep projects on track
  • Partner with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless delivery
  • Contribute to accurate documentation, reporting, and risk management strategies
  • Drive continuous improvement within the project management function

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for someone who is organised, collaborative, and eager to grow. You will ideally bring:

  • 1–2 years’ experience in project administration or a related role (UXO, environmental, or technical fields highly regarded)
  • Exposure to field operations or Australian Defence Force (ADF) contracts (desirable)
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • A sound understanding of budget management and reporting fundamentals
  • Most importantly, you will demonstrate a commitment to safety, teamwork, and delivering outstanding results.
