Description

Holland Marsh Wineries is searching for an energetic, sales driven individual for a full-time position as an assistant venue coordinator. Our associates must represent our award-winning hospitality and customer service through guest interaction, communications, venue tours, tastings and sales. The position will start as an “assistant” for the initial 3 months and will develop into a primary role.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • College or University degree in Event Planning/Hospitality Preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
  • Ability to handle a wide range of customers and multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Team oriented with an ability to work independently
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills and accurate work practices
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms
  • Must have valid driver’s license and reliable form of transportation
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Commitment to self-development and continuous learning
  • General wine knowledge an asset but willing to train the right candidate
  • Must be able to meet physical requirements including lifting 40 lbs

Responsibilities
  • Perform venue tours with clients
  • Developing strong customer relationships through appropriate client communication and the use of professional, courteous and ethical interaction
  • Prompt follow up on inquiries by email or phone
  • Complete client contracts and manage client accounts
  • Planning and executing events from booking to initiation (presence during each event is mandatory)
  • Organize all client meetings & consultations prior to event date
  • Complete function sheets and banquet orders for all upcoming weddings and events
