Our Group Risk and Regulatory Department (the “GR&R”) is looking for talent to become part of the Data Privacy Compliance team (the “Team”) to handle data governance, data privacy and artificial intelligence (AI) compliance related matters for PCCW/HKT Group. This role will work with other members of the Team to provide support to the Group Data Privacy Officer and different Business Units (“BUs”)/ stakeholders within the Group to their projects/programmes/initiatives from data privacy compliance angle as well as to support GR&R in launching initiatives. The successful candidate will be an integral part of GR&R and works closely with various control functions within PCCW/HKT Group to maintain and uphold the standard of data governance, data privacy and AI compliance within PCCW/HKT Group. Your role Support the Team to maintain an effective data governance, data privacy protection and AI compliance framework for the Group Monitor and research on the latest and emerging trends, changes and development of local and global privacy/ AI laws and regulations, including their implications to group’s business activities Assist in responding data privacy-related enquiries from individuals and/or regulatory bodies and incident investigations Assess risks and identify gaps, and provide advice and support to projects/programmes/initiatives of different BUs/ stakeholders within the Group on data privacy compliance angle Assist in maintaining and updating policies and guidelines related to data governance, data privacy and AI within the Group Assist in drafting and updating the Team-created templates related to data governance, data privacy and AI (e.g. data transfer agreement, data processing agreement) Educate different BUs in completing, as well as monitor and review, the Personal Data Inventory and Privacy Impact Assessments and other data privacy/security related contracts and matters Promote awareness of data privacy culture the Group Lead the design and rollout of data governance, data privacy and AI training to the Group Track the status of different privacy and AI initiatives with stakeholders and offer privacy and AI related guidance and/or advice Maintain and update a library related to the data privacy and AI documentation of the BUs To succeed in this role University graduate in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Law, or related disciplines 5-7 years experience in data protection and privacy practices Sound knowledge with data protection laws and practices of different jurisdictions, including an in-depth understanding of PDPO, PIPL and other global regulatory requirements Knowledge with data governance and AI related laws and practices preferred Analytical minded, self-motivated, a good team player who is able to work independently Good command of written and spoken English, Chinese and Putonghua Proficient in MS Office

Responsibilities

The role involves supporting the Data Privacy Compliance team in maintaining data governance and compliance frameworks. The candidate will also monitor privacy laws, assist with inquiries, and promote data privacy awareness across the Group.
