Job Details Job Location: Kankakee, IL 60901 Salary Range: $180,000.00 - $190,000.00 Salary Gardant is seeking an Assistant Vice President of Operations to support in providing leadership, oversight, and operational support to Regional Directors of assigned Gardant Communities. This role assists with ensuring effective Community operations including staffing, regulatory compliance, and financial performance. Responsibilities: Supports the Senior Vice President of Operations, Marketing, and Engagement by providing operational oversight and guidance to Regional Directors Assists Regional Directors in the development and implementation of organizational, financial, marketing, and programmatic plans, policies, and procedures Participates in analysis and monitoring of community performance to ensure adherence to annual operating and capital budgets Assists in ensuring communities comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations and approved operating procedures Supports oversight of community processes related to liability, property, and workers’ compensation insurance Provides consultative support to Regional Directors and Regional Human Resources regarding staff disciplinary actions and human resource matters Assists with performance management processes for Executive Directors and Department Heads following the introductory period and during annual evaluations Supports the planning and delivery of training and development initiatives for Executive Directors, including Wednesday webinars Assists with planning and facilitation of quarterly Executive Director retreats and leadership development activities Participate in Executive Director interview and hiring processes as requested Assist Communities in preparation for regulatory reviews, surveys, and inspections Acts as a clinical and operational liaison, as appropriate, regarding resident care matters and employee health-related concerns, including workers’ compensation Reviews and support required regulatory and third-party payer reporting Supports meetings and communication with community ownership representatives by providing operational updates as directed by the Senior Vice President of Operations Provides operational support and availability to communities and Gardant staff as needed, including participation in on-call coverage as directed Participates in cross-functional initiatives and task forces to support organizational goals Assists with process improvement initiatives and operational best practices across Communities Qualifications Qualifications: Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in senior housing, healthcare operations, or related field; regional operations experience preferred Clinical background preferred; preferred with relevant clinical and operational experience Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered Demonstrated leadership ability with a strong understanding of operations and financial management High ethical standards, professionalism, and integrity Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact across all organizational levels Collaborative team player with mentoring and coaching capabilities Ability to support strategic initiatives while maintaining attention to operational detail Working knowledge of regulatory compliance, clinical operations, and risk management Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefit packages Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP) Employer-subsidized Gym Membership & Wellness Program EAP & Maven family planning program 401(k) with biweekly employer match Outside-In Employee Referral Program Intentional work-life balance supported with competitive Paid Time Off Self-service payroll & tools (PayCom)
