Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and conducting volleyball coaching sessions for groups of various youth ages under the direction of the Head Coach.
- Assist in teaching and demonstrate proper techniques and skills in the specific sport
- Help develop training programs and practice schedules
- Provide feedback and guidance to athletes to help them improve their performance
- Motivate and inspire athletes to reach their full potential
- Ensure the safety of all participants during training sessions and competitions
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to coordinate team activities
-Set up and take down of all equipment required on courts
-Shifts will be evenings and weekends
Experience:
- Previous experience as a sports coach or athlete in the sport of volleyball is considered an asset
-previous experience working with youth is considered an asset.
- Training or certification with the NCCP is considered an asset.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the rules, strategies, and techniques of the sport
- Ability to effectively communicate and educate athletes of all ages and skill levels
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with athletes, parents, and staff
- Organizational skills to plan and manage training sessions

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid CPR and First Aid certification
    -Valid Police Check (vulnerable sector)
