Your Opportunity to Make an Impact As an Assistant Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for leading warehouse personnel and overseeing the safe, efficient flow of inventory throughout the facility. You will coordinate daily workloads, monitor receiving, shipping, inventory, and quality processes, and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards. This role partners with management to plan staffing levels, drive operational improvements, manage costs, and develop employees through coaching, feedback, and performance management. What You Will Do  * Hire, train, and develop warehouse associates and staffing agency workers. * Oversee daily warehouse workflows, staffing assignments, and productivity. * Ensure safe operation and maintenance of material handling equipment; train employees in safe and ergonomic practices. * Monitor receiving, picking, shipping, inventory control, and quality assurance processes. * Enforce company safety policies and OSHA compliance; respond to incidents promptly. * Plan staffing levels to meet business demands while minimizing waste. * Identify operational issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement process improvements. * Act as a liaison between office and warehouse teams to resolve customer and operational issues. * Support cycle counts and inventory accuracy initiatives. * Prepare and present operational data, reports, and recommendations to leadership. Who We're Looking For Experience & Skills * Prior supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution environment. * Experience implementing process improvements or continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., LEAN). * Proven ability to train employees on forklifts and warehouse equipment. * Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills. * Ability to prioritize tasks and make sound decisions in a fast‑paced environment. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory systems. * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Education & Certifications * Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred. * APICS Lean Manufacturing certification preferred. The salary range for this role is $60,000 to $65,000/yr. and a yearly bonus potential. This range is applicable for jobs performed in the Eastern and Central Time Zones.  An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, and business organizational needs.
