ITN Food Corporation, a leader in food manufacturing, import, and distribution, is seeking a skilled Assistant Warehouse Manager to oversee our multi-level warehouse in Woodbridge - Vaughan, Greater Toronto Area, Canada. Our facility handles a diverse range of food products, requiring meticulous inventory management and operational efficiency.

POSITION OVERVIEW

As an Assistant Warehouse Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of our five-level warehouse facility. This full-time, on-site role involves supervising daily warehousing activities, ensuring inventory accuracy, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain operational excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience: 3-5 years in warehouse operations, preferably within the food manufacturing or distribution sectors, handling diverse product categories.
  • Education: Diploma or certification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Ontario OHSA, HACCP, and Allergen Programs.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and related technologies; experience with ERP systems is an asset.
  • Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated skills in team supervision, training, and development.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong organizational and analytical capabilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work early, late, or weekend shifts as required to meet operational needs.
  • Certifications: Valid Reach and Counter Balance forklift licenses are an asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Warehouse Operations: Manage daily operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping of a diverse range of food products.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular cycle counts and audits, utilizing our Warehouse Management System (WMS) for real-time tracking.
  • Team Supervision: Lead, train, and support warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to all regulatory standards, including GMP, HACCP, and safety protocols, maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to identify opportunities for operational improvements.
  • Technology Utilization: Ensure effective use of the WMS, providing training to staff and leveraging the system for optimal inventory control.
  • Reporting: Assist in generating and analyzing operational reports to monitor KPIs and provide actionable insights.
  • Regulatory Interaction: Support regulatory inspections from authorities like CFIA and MOL, ensuring compliance and readiness.
