Assistant Warehouse Manager
We are currently seeking an energetic, motivated Assistant Warehouse Manager to join our team at our Milton Keynes distribution center.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Daily Operations Oversight
  • Support the Warehouse Manager in planning and executing daily workflows
  • Ensure timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishments
  • Team Supervision & Development
  • Supervise warehouse staff and delegate tasks effectively
  • Mentor team members and assist in onboarding and training
  • Promote safety compliance and enforce operational protocols
  • Inventory & Equipment Management
  • Maintain accurate stock records using WMS or ERP systems
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Oversee proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment
  • Process Optimization
  • Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements
  • Implement quality control procedures to ensure product integrity
  • Collaborate with logistics and procurement teams to streamline operations
  • Reporting & Communication
  • Generate performance reports and analyze KPIs (e.g., order accuracy, turnaround time)
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Support customer service by ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment

Ideal candidate:

  • Clear understanding and appreciation of health and safety procedures.
  • Good communication skills
  • Good standard of written and spoken English
  • Ability to guide, motivate, and manage warehouse personnel
  • Familiarity with WMS, Excel, and automation tools
  • Quick decision-making and issue resolution on the warehouse floor
