YOUR ROLE

At our location in Nieuwegein, we are looking for an Assistant Warehouse Supervisor! In this versatile role, you will coordinate and guide a team of around 20 warehouse operators on a daily basis. You will monitor team performance, processes, and productivity, ensuring that targets are achieved. The application of the LEAN philosophy plays a key role in your work. You will take care of efficient workforce planning, while maintaining order and cleanliness in the warehouse. You actively coach employees in their daily tasks and ensure compliance with house rules and regulations regarding Safety, Quality, Health, and Environment (SQHE). Whenever anomalies or deviations occur, you act quickly and effectively.
In addition, you provide valuable input to the Warehouse Supervisor regarding planning, progress and evaluation meetings. In their absence, you will step in and take over their responsibilities.
Our warehouse operates in two shifts: from 07:00 to 16:00 and from 16:00 to 01:00.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Coordinating, guiding, motivating, and inspiring a team of Operators and Flex workers;
Proactively identifying and resolving issues on the work floor;
Ensuring the efficient preparation and execution of tasks within the sub-process;
Sharing information and, together with the Supervisor, taking initiative to implement process improvements;
Reporting on progress and results to the Supervisor.
