Summary: Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Wholesale Millwork Department, ensuring the efficient coordination of departments to deliver quality Millwork products to our Wholesale Customers. This role involves managing personnel, overseeing inventory levels, ensuring safety and compliance, and driving productivity and profitability in alignment with company goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

This individual must be a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills, as well as proven customer service. Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational, negotiating, and problem-solving skills. Must be able to work under minimal supervision, manage multiple tasks, and professionally interact with others.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Associate’s degree, 4-year degree preferred, in business or related field. Minimum of 3 years of customer service and/or purchasing experience; preferably in the construction materials field with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Responsibilities
  • Supervise Wholesale Millwork department employees, including the hiring, scheduling, training, evaluating, and delegating of individual job responsibilities
  • Evaluate, plan, and implement procedures and systems for maximum operational efficiency within departments
  • Review performance data (financial, sales, inventory, and activity reports) to monitor and measure productivity, goal progress, and activity levels with the Wholesale General Manager
  • Manages all millwork product line buyers
  • Oversee inventory control, procurement, and stock management of millwork materials and supplies
  • Develop relationships with all manufacturers
  • Continuously look for new product lines to add to our current offerings
  • Manages pricing for all millwork product lines, working with product line managers
  • Help resolve quality issues with our manufacturers that are present in our inventory or the field
  • Manages the Millwork Customer Service Department
  • Provide exceptional customer service, resolving issues related to orders, deliveries, and installations
  • Analyze departmental metrics and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Organize and manage Millwork Department Meetings
  • Collaborate with sales, design, and purchasing teams to develop custom solutions and ensure timely project fulfillment
  • Partners with our Safety Department and Operations Leadership to promote and ensure a safe work environment and ensure all safety precautions are met
  • Comply with safety and corporate guidelines on business ethics
  • Other miscellaneous duties that are necessary for your department to meet the company’s needs
