SUMMARY

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree or Diploma in viticulture or oenology or related field
  • Minimum 5 years experience in wine industry
  • Broad knowledge or cellar operations and processes
  • Forklift Certification (or willingness to train)
  • Ability to lift and carry at least 55 lbs
  • Strong communication, organizational and time management skills
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Winemaker in all aspects of the winemaking process
  • Lead daily operations, workflow and supervision of staff
  • Monitor fermentation, temperature and aging of product
  • Ensure laboratory tests and analysis are completed as required
  • Maintain accurate production, inventory, input records including tax/financial reporting needs
  • Assist with VQA submissions
  • Coordinate and participate in all harvest activities
  • Assist with bottling preparation and execution as needed
  • Ensure sanitation and safety protocols are upheld for production department
  • Support customer facing events
