ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Assisting in the planning and execution of daily practices and training sessions.
  • Providing on field Coaching and Skill development under the direction of the Head coach.
  • Support the recruitment and evaluation of prospective student-athletes in alignment with the NCAA and GLVC regulations.
  • Coordinating Team Travel, managing equipment, and contributing to game day operations.
  • The role is also instrumental in fostering a positive team culture that promotes academic achievement, athletic excellence, personal growth, and accountability.
  • Maintaining compliance with all University, NCAA, and conference policies is essential.
  • The position supports student-athlete academic progress and overall wellbeing through collaboration with departmental staff.
  • Involves assisting with video analysis, scouting reports, and game preparation, while representing the program at department, campus, and community events as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience Coaching or working with Goalkeeper.
  • Prior competitive soccer experience (playing or coaching) at a collegiate level preferred.
  • Current Driver’s License and ability to travel with the team.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills as well as the flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed to support team operations.

  • Normal 40 hours work week (8 AM – 5 PM during regular class sessions; 7:30 AM – 6 PM during summer work hours).
  • However, due to position nights and weekends would be required.
  • This position will be a 5 day a week position with 2 days off during a given work week.
  • Overtime work may be required on occasions, depending on workload and objectives but a maximum of 50 hours will be included during any one work week.

Responsibilities

PURPOSE:

This position assists the Head Coach with all aspects of the women’s soccer program, including coaching, recruiting, training, and student-athlete development, while supporting the department’s mission and the University’s
commitment to academic and athletic excellence.
