SUMMARY

We are seeking an Assistant Workshop Manager/Workshop Controller to help lead our dynamic team at our busy site in Milton Keynes. This role is crucial in ensuring our workshop operates efficiently, contributing to our mission of delivering top quality service to our customers.
The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who thrives in a busy and dynamic aftersales environment. You may have started out in a light/heavy vehicle background and are looking for a new challenge. You will be someone who is deeply passionate about driving productivity, whilst maintaining superb customer service.
You will be joining a very experienced workshop management team who have undergone tremendous growth in the last few years, with lofty plans for more! You will have all the technical support needed to be successful, we just ask that you come hungry and energetic to learn.

Responsibilities
  • Support the workshop management team to help oversee daily operations of the workshop to ensure productivity and quality standards.
  • Manage and mentor workshop staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Quote, schedule & invoice workshop jobs internally and externally.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained and operational, addressing any repairs as needed.
  • Implement effective maintenance schedules for all tools and machinery.
  • Liaise with customers to address inquiries and provide exceptional service.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the workshop.
  • Manage inventory of tools and materials required for operations.
  • Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a workshop management role or similar position.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand and power tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, particularly related to equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Strong communication skills for effective customer service interactions.
  • Experience with welding is preferred but not mandatory.
