WHAT YOU BRING:

• Proven leadership experience (yard/inventory experience a strong asset)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Valid G Driver’s License with a clean driving abstract
• Current forklift certification
• Able to lift heavy items and stand for long periods
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and inventory control
• Flexible schedule–including alternating weekends
• Reliable commute or willingness to relocate to Essex, ON

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Are you a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast paced environment? We’re looking for a driven and dependable Assistant Yard Foreman to help lead our yard operations and deliver top-tier customer service. You’ll work closely with the Yard Foreman and Operations team to ensure smooth operations, accurate deliveries, and a safe, efficient working environment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Lead, coach, and guide the yard team daily
• Deliver outstanding customer service–every time
• Support the coordination of deliveries and dispatch to reduce lead times
• Preload product for the following day’s deliveries
• Work with the yard team as well as the lumber desk team to ensure inventory accuracy and customer orders are filled correctly
• Ensure all company policies, procedures, and safety standards are followed
• Train and guide team members while leading by example
• Roll up your sleeves to get the job done–no task too small
• Able to lift 50lbs
