If you answered yes to the questions above, you may be the right fit for this exciting position! ImproveAbility is seeking a dynamic individual to perform assistive technology evaluations. This job would mostly consist of meeting with clients at their home, workplace, and/or virtually to assess their need for assistive technology in the following areas: Jobsite accommodation/Ergonomics Computer access for physical disabilities Assistive technology for learning disabilities Environmental controls Bathroom Access Home Access Patient Lifts And more… This is a sales position and as such you will be called upon to create new sales leads and maintain connections with current referral sources. Requirements Required Three years of assistive technology experience preferred ATP certification, or ability to obtain ATP certification upon hire General AT knowledge and understanding proper evaluation techniques Strong report writing skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to thrive in a independent working environment Organized and self directed Strong public speaking skills Lifting 30 lbs on a regular basis Occasionally lifting over 30 lbs with assistance Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, and perform tasks that require fine motor manual dexterity Drive 4-6 hours at a time with minimal breaks Travel required - overnight stays at times - depending on location and types of referrals received Preferred Background in rehabilitation, special education, or specific assistive technology education Experience in writing quotes Experience in sales and customer service Comfort with technology and installation of equipment Ability to "think on your feet" and come up with innovative solutions Ability to integrate new processes quickly Participation in industry organizations and professional development is encouraged
