JOB TITLE: (JR.) SALES ENGINEER – MARINE & OFFSHORE HVAC SOLUTIONS

Location: Rotterdam, the Netherlands
Department: Carrier Marine & Offshore – Technical Sales
Reports to: Sales Director, Carrier Marine & Offshore

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 0–3 years of experience in a sales engineering, technical sales, or HVAC-related role (entry-level candidates with relevant internships will be considered).
  • Technical understanding of HVAC systems and their applications, preferably in marine or offshore environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel internationally, as required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of HVAC design standards and marine/offshore certification requirements (e.g., DNV, LR, ABS).
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or HVAC design software.
  • Experience with (heat load) calculations
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the technical and commercial point of contact for customers, supporting the development of HVAC solutions tailored to project-specific needs.
  • Evaluate RFQs and develop detailed technical and commercial proposals for marine and offshore HVAC systems.
  • Work collaboratively with internal Carrier teams and external third-party factories to ensure optimal equipment selection and timely, accurate quotations.
  • Act as a trusted consultant, guiding customers on product selection, system design, and implementation considerations.
  • Support business development efforts and contribute to achieving sales targets in alignment with the broader international sales team.
