Summary
Delivers a highly accurate and timely service to internal customers as well as an exceptional level of courtesy to external clients. You will be responsible for obituary notifications, death certificate ordering, mail processing and the handling of incoming phone calls.

Required Education and Experience

  • 1-2 years’ experience in a customer service role.
  • High School Diploma or equivalen

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Prior experience in the insurance industr

Required Skills

  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with customer service focus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (specifically, Word and Excel) and data entry
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently in an efficient and responsible manner
  • Adaptable and willing to take on new challenges and opportunities
  • Eagerness to learn in this position is essential

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure all Client contractual obligations and project commitments are delivered on-time and with a high degree of quality.
  • Receive mail, documents, packages and courier deliveries and delivers or distributes items (all companies).
  • Performs administrative and clerical support tasks.
  • Performs daily electronic mail activities.
  • Handle death certificate orders for servicing team.
  • Performs basic filing and recordkeeping.
  • Handle transactional package shipping to MLF clients.
  • Respond to client inquiries and project requests.
  • Review Daily obit reports for potential hits.
  • Answer, screen and direct phone calls to staff and/or take message.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

  • 1-2 years’ experience in a customer service role.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

    The base pay range for this role is (min pay) – (max pay). Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
    We give priority to candidates residing in states where we have offices: Minnesota, Iowa, Maryland, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and South Dakota.
