Job Summary The Associate AI Director is responsible for guiding AI projects from inception to completion. The roleinvolves managing the overall strategy, coordinating teams, ensuring technical quality, and aligning theproject with organizational goals to ensure that AI initiatives are completed on time, within budget, andmeet the desired outcomes. The Associate AI Director is a subset of the broader program manager rolebut specifically for AI initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams, including data scientists,engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders to define project goals, scope, and timelines.Job Roles & Responsibilities Defines AI project goals, set timelines, and outlines deliverables. They create detailed plans andschedules, oversee progress, and adjust as necessary to ensure the project is completed successfully. Lead and oversee teams of data scientists, engineers, and designers, ensuring effective communicationand collaboration. Manage resource allocation and provide the necessary support for team members.Serve as the main point of contact between stakeholders—executives, clients, and partners. Collect andprioritize their requirements and expectations and provide regular updates and reports on the AI project'sprogress and results. Ensure AI solutions are developed following best practices and organizational standards. Reviewtechnical specifications, oversee the development process, and address any technical challenges orissues that arises during the project.Additional Job Roles & Responsibilities Identify potential risks and create strategies to mitigate them. Monitor and address any issues that couldaffect project success, and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards, especially concerningdata privacy and AI fairness. Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for AI projects, assess project outcomes against these goals,and implement continuous improvement processes based on performance data. Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in AI and related technologies. Contribute todeveloping AI strategies and roadmaps and identify opportunities to use AI for creating business valueand driving innovation.Additional Responsibilities 3 Job Knowledge Knowledge of AI technologies, machine learning, and data science principles. Understanding AIframeworks, tools, and methodologies is essential. Proficiency in managing complex projects, including defining scopes, setting timelines, and ensuringsuccessful delivery. Familiarity with project management methodologies like Agile or Scrum is oftenrequired.Ability to use performance data to drive continuous improvement processes and enhance projectoutcomes. Staying updated on the latest trends and advancements in AI to leverage new technologies andstrategies for business value.Experience in developing and managing budgets, and effectively securing and allocating resources,including technology and talent. Skills to lead and manage cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and designers.This involves facilitating collaboration, providing support, and resolving conflicts. Strong ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, including executives, clients, and teammembers. This includes presenting technical information in a clear and understandable manner.
