Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for a Aircraft Battery Technician - B to join our team in Toronto, Ontario.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 1+ years of mechanical experience as a machinist, mechanic or other mechanical aptitudes
  • 1+ years of experience using electronic measuring tools and equipment such as Multi-meters
  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 35 pounds frequently within an 8 hour shift

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Currently hold an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) and/or an Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT) license
  • Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • SAP experience

Responsibilities
  • Receives and prioritizes orders; Performs initial inspections on units received for repair.
  • Use a computer in a production environment.
  • Look up/read/comprehend technical work instructions, drawings and/or specifications.
  • Operates various hand and power tools, mechanical and testing equipment throughout repair process.
  • Ensure that parts issued are correct for the specific assembly and are free of visible defects.
  • Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications of OEM or aircraft manual.
  • Inspect work for quality and check for FOD (Foreign Object Debris)
  • Ability to gather, retain, and recall a variety of facts and data in written and/or verbal form for the achievement of work tasks and duties
  • Assists other technicians as needed.
  • Completes special projects and other duties as assigned.
