Job Role / Responsibilities: We are seeking an Associate / Analyst, Investments to support the Assistant Manager, Investments, in managing AKU’s fixed-income and equity portfolios. The role requires a detailed understanding of financial instruments, valuation techniques, and portfolio management, coupled with strong analytical, writing, and problem-solving skills. The incumbent will also be responsible for the accounting of investment deals. Key responsibilities: Prepare detailed equity and fixed-income analysis, and performance attribution of the portfolios. Maintain and update the economic database for countries in which AKU operates. Assist in the preparation of investment committee meeting papers and drafting minutes of the meeting. Prepare weekly portfolio updates and schedules. Develop investment/ divestment proposals for the management and the investment committees. Negotiate with banks. Prepare investment letters, vouchers, and journal entries in PeopleSoft and MS Dynamics. Prepare and submit regulatory filings in compliance with applicable requirements. Eligibility Criteria / Requirements: ACCA or Master's in Finance / Business Administration At least 3 to 4 years of relevant experience Strong knowledge of equity and fixed-income products and valuation methods (basic understanding of valuation models essential). Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines. Proactive approach with the ability to generate innovative ideas for value creation. Comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted.
