As an Associate Business Analyst (ROPS) on Team Periscope, you will play a critical role in supporting data-driven decision-making and operational improvements. This position focuses on supporting our Health Information Management Team using HIM software and data to improve workflows, business practices, and revenue operations support, ensuring data accuracy and compliance. Duties include but not limited to analyses, solving ambiguous problems, and driving innovation to improve revenue outcomes. With guidance from senior team members, you will execute projects, collaborate with stakeholders, and contribute to meaningful business outcomes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business, data analytics, healthcare, health informatics, health information or related field.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in healthcare revenue cycle with exposure to healthcare analytics, medical records, and health information concepts.
  • Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in a simple and impactful manner.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with SQL or other database querying languages is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • AHIMA certifications such as RHIT, RHIA, CHDA, CDIP, and CHPS are preferred, but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct data analyses to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for process improvements, aiming to reduce costs, enhance patient care and optimize resource allocation.
  • Supports government audits by extracting and analyzing patient and billing data while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to patient data privacy and security.
  • Assist in developing, managing, and executing project plans, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and visualizations in tools like Tableau to support self-service reporting and transparency.
  • Synthesize findings from quantitative and qualitative data to prove actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with business leaders including Directors, Health Information Managers and Coding Managers to achieve organizational goals.
  • Prepare presentations and reports to communicate key insights and project outcomes.
  • Monitor project impacts and provide post-implementation assessments to refine processes and enhance results.
