JOB SUMMARY

This Associate Analyst position is part of the Corporate Accounting team, responsible for consolidations, corporate accounting, and external reporting.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related business degree is required (We welcome May 2025 graduates)
• 0-2 years of relevant experience
• Ability to learn and grasp new concepts quickly
• Able to demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills
• Attention to detail, a strong initiative and a results-orientation are critical
• This position requires working additional hours during certain times of the month

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficient in standard office software (MS Excel, Word)
• Ability to use and adapt to new technology and systems (Microsoft Excel, BPC, SAP, BW, Workiva, Alteryx, etc.)
• Strong analysis, decision making, and problem solving skills
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple tasks under time constraints
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others

  Pay Range Minimum: $58,172.14
  Pay Range Maximum: $87,258.34
  The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs. At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.

• Position will be assigned several corporate and non-utility companies and will have the ability to be involved in all aspects of the accounting cycle
• Prepare and enter monthly journal entries, and analyze and report monthly results
• Assist with month end closing process, perform assigned account reconciliations and prepare monthly cash flow statements
• The position may assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual external financial results and SEC filings (10-Qs and 10-Ks)
• The position may assist with quarterly and annual regulatory reporting
• Work with others outside of Accounting/Finance including Financial Planning and Analysis, Treasury, Real Estate, external/internal auditors, and regulatory agencies for certain financial reporting requirements
• Work independently, handle multiple responsibilities, and prioritize effectively
