Description
HITACHI RAIL is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Associate Assembler who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Batesburg, SC.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Preparing and retrieving parts and materials, potentially using forklifts, pallet jacks or hand trucks
  • Assembling products and components, following blueprints, schematics, or work instructions
  • Utilizing hand tools, power tools, and potentially machinery to complete assembling tasks
  • Assisting with routine maintenance
  • Inspecting assembled products for accuracy, completeness, and compliance, to include HSE requirements, transcendent quality standards, and safety critical requirements
  • Maintaining inventory records using scanning and tracking systems
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
  • Collaborating with other assemblers and team members to meet production goals
  • Ensuring tools and equipment are in good working order
  • Identifying and reporting any issues or malfunctions
  • Adhering to safety procedures and guidelines as well as company policies

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and SAP Enterprise Software
  • The ability to work in an environment that requires physical and continual movement

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous assembling experience
  • Basic soldering experience
  • Familiar with basic crimp style terminations
  • Knowledgeable of Hitachi Rail products

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent education
