Job Description
The Associate will be expected to independently lead themselves & assist the team in providing quality support for the event life-cycle management of both voluntary & mandatory market events as well as provide ad hoc asset servicing expertise in areas such as: withholding tax reclaims, off-market & pre-IPO deal closings, class actions and proxy voting. In addition, the Associate will be expected to assist in the team’s pursuit of a best-in-class operating model.

TEAM SUMMARY:

The Middle Office, Asset Servicing & Corporate Actions team is accountable for ensuring all corporate action events and entitlements are reported, analyzed, and executed according to established strategies and policies. Additionally, the team supports off-market (i.e. private to public, lock-ups, etc.) transactions & provides annual proxy season support. The group is cross-asset and provides support for a range of products including various listed & OTC derivative products, cash equities, and fixed income.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Ensure corporate action & other off-market events are accurately reflected within all impacted systems & portfolios within prescribed timelines
  • Assesses the impact of new/amended transactions on reporting, infrastructure, and downstream data consumers and raise issues to impacted stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Training & review/sign-off of junior team members work
  • Act as team lead on specific initiatives, as directed by management
  • Contribute to the development of a robust operating model, built on best practices, for corporate actions and asset servicing processes

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of progressive experience, preferably with a focus on derivative products and/or experience with corporate actions for equities, fixed income across international markets
  • Demonstrable experience with motivating, apprenticing, or supervising junior teammates while ensuring your own deliverables are met
  • Proven ability to structure communications, both written & verbal, to raise and resolve issues across all levels of the organization
  • Self-motivated, agile, and the ability to approach a constantly changing business environment through innovation and creativity
  • Experience with any of the following: Murex, Simcorp, CApTAIN, Bloomberg AIM, S&P Global MCA (formerly IHSMarkit MCA), MS Excel (intermediate to advanced knowledge)
