Description:

As an Associate in Deloitte Economics, you will contribute to a wide variety of projects that help our clients make strategic, data-driven decisions, shaping the future of the Danish economy. Some of our recent highlights include the development of Denmark’s national diversity barometer, analyses supporting the rollout of national green infrastructure projects, and assisting public authorities in designing impactful environmental strategies and policies. You will work on high-impact projects, supporting private and public organizations in areas such as industry analysis, benchmarking, investment screening, and impact assessment. Many of these projects will focus on sustainability economics, covering areas like life cycle assessments, carbon abatement curves, and the design of innovative indicators to measure social and environmental outcomes. Additionally, you will contribute to macroeconomic analyses and help shape Deloitte’s perspectives on the global and national economic outlook.
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a wide range of economic advisory services while working closely with senior colleagues and benefiting from strong client exposure at the executive level.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience and a Master’s degree or PhD in Economics, Political Science or Finance. We are seeking curious minds that are outstanding problem solvers with a can-do attitude and eager to learn. You will work in a fast-paced but highly inclusive environment where individual differences and contributions are recognised and celebrated.
You should have strong analytical skills and an interest in applying economic principles to solve real-world challenges. Prior experience in economic analysis, consulting, or similar roles is beneficial but not required. Research experience will be valued. Familiarity with ESG concepts, particularly in M&A, is an advantage but not essential—enthusiasm to learn is key.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing innovative analytical work that drives strategic decision-making and addresses complex, real-world challenges
  • Being empowered to take the lead on projects, influencing both their design and execution, with significant ownership and responsibility
  • Contributing to high-profile projects that help shape the economic landscape in Denmark and across Europe
  • Collaborating with a global network of 400+ economists to deliver impactful and data-driven solutions
