Position: Associate Buyer
As an Associate Buyer you will be reporting directly to our Sourcing Manager You will work in a cohesive team environment as an integral part of our Global Sourcing Department. You will be expected to help administer and support the complete Supply Chain process as it relates to orders that fall under our family of MultiCraft brands, shipping direct to our Ottawa Distribution center.

We achieve this by purchasing in large quantities, maintaining low overheads and passing the savings onto our customers, including Large Chain stores, Distributors, Independent Discount Retailers plus Craft and Gift stores from all over the world. Responsibilities

YOUR JOB FUNCTION WILL INCLUDE BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING TASKS:

· The successful execution of the Supply Chain process from start to finish.
· Requesting quotations and samples.
· Liaise between the factories and / or agents regarding status of the production process from start to finish.
· Arrange for, and review, pre-production and production samples for review of quality standards.
· Assist managing the Vendor base, in Asia, North America and other countries and facilitate all product and pricing related matters with each Vendor / Factory.
· Liaising with other departments within the organization to ensure projects are completed. (Graphics, Quality Assurance and Logistics for example).
· Providing instructions, guidelines, policies and feedback to suppliers as required.
· Review and approve all related documentation relating to transactions including purchase orders, commercial invoices, shipping documents, terms and conditions and compliance manuals.
· Liaise with our Graphics Dept. and ensure artwork has been prepared and confirmed for each item.
· Preparing and monitoring our Purchase Order control process.
· Working with suppliers to meet the agreed upon shipments deadlines.
· Liaise with our Quality Assurance and Compliance Team to insure that items requiring Third party testing or Lab certifications are in fact tested in a timely manner and that Compliance is confirmed for each item.
· Track orders and adjust delivery dates and quantities if required.
· Correspond with suppliers for shipping details and track deliveries of goods.
· Support vendor relationships by acting as point of contact/liaison between the vendors and the buyers.
