The role:
Associates form the foundation of delivery across our accounts, providing essential support to smooth day-to-day delivery and exceptional team and client service. - Drafting accurate, timely briefings for internal and client use.
- Preparing agendas, taking notes, and managing follow-up actions from meetings.
- Supporting outreach and engagement programmes, including updating contact trackers and following up on actions.
- Assisting with drafting materials such as press notices, consultation responses, and briefing notes.
- Setting up and managing client calls, ensuring logistics and preparation are seamless.
- Building relationships with researchers and other political stakeholders, and developing your own political network.
- Planning and running events.
- Contributing to team discussions and account delivery with enthusiasm and reliability.
What we’re looking for:
- Up to two years' experience, having started your career in consultancy, public affairs, or communications.
- A strong understanding of UK politics, parliament, and/or the media landscape, demonstrated through current or previous roles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with precise attention to detail.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities and keep track of multiple strands of monitoring across government sources, media, and external reports.
- A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced team, including giving feedback and communicating across stakeholders.
- Proactive and curious about politics, media, and public affairs, with emerging judgement and a willingness to take initiative.
- Reliable, thorough, and meticulous in execution, with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
Benefits:
- Salary £28,000-32,000, dependent on experience
- Generous bonus scheme
- Company pension
- 25 days paid leave plus public holidays
- London Bridge office
- Structured professional development
- Work from anywhere one week per year
