Overview Element has an opportunity for an Associate Chemist to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team, the Engineer position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision. The engineer position must be proficient in a number of core business and technical skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures. This role is based in Singapore. Responsibilities Competent in GCMS, GC-FID, FTIR, ICP-MS, ICP-OES, IC, EDXRF, TGA, Arc Spark operation. Able to provide guidance on equipment troubleshooting and offer technical training to new hire. Well trained on laboratory accreditation management system (ISO 17025 : 2017), capable in new method development and ability of method validation of in-house method. Establish new capability for the lab based on client/project/market demand Lead the team to deliver the routine/daily task on time Responsible for the quality assurance and maintaining the SAC certification Skills / Qualifications Minimum Diploma in Chemistry with at least 2 years relavant working experience Working knowledge of laboratory safety Preferred significant field experience leading to comparable engineering knowledge, competencies and skill In-depth understanding of testing concepts Ability to analyze and compile testing data from the tests performed Possess strong computer skills Basic Mathematical Skills.
